Direct
Payments are cash payments made to individuals who have been assessed
as needing care services, instead of social service provisions. The
aim is to give people more choice and control about how their care is
delivered. We currently support many people who have chosed to spend
some of their Direct Payment with People in Action. We will work with the local councils and disabled people as the new system of Personal Budgets evolves. For
