It’s National Apprenticeship Week and People in Action are celebrating the journey of one of their apprentices whose hard work has led to being offered a full-time role within the organisation
Faith Nicholson-Parry always had an interest in going into full-time work at the earliest opportunity after leaving school. She decided to apply for various apprenticeship opportunities – giving her the chance to gain valuable hands-on experience in an employment setting, develop personal skills as well as study towards gaining further qualifications.
Over a year on, after excelling as an apprentice through hard work and dedication, Faith is now a full-time Marketing Trainee for People in Action
Faith Marketing Trainee: “Over the course of my apprenticeship I have worked towards gaining a Level 2 Qualification in Business Administration to further my knowledge alongside gaining practical skills and experience within the office environment."
"Following my apprenticeship, I was proud to be offered the position as a Marketing Trainee and it gave me confidence in everything I had learned and how I applied myself at work. I really enjoy working for People in Action as no one day is the same, there is always a challenge.” "With so many different projects on everyone is involved in their own work but ultimately it all forms part of the brilliant charitable work we do that supports our customers to live meaningful lives within their local community.”
Sara Doughty, People in Action Marketing, Project and Information Systems Manager said: “Over the last year or so, Faith has adapted and developed her own skills into the Marketing Trainee role within People in Action. "Faith has demonstrated the organisational skills required during her apprenticeship and has proved a valuable asset to the company during this time. Now in the Marketing role Faith is able to use the skills gained during her apprenticeship and use them on a daily basis.”
