Picture. A happy smiling photograph showing the mayor of Nuneaton, Ian Lloyd with his wife Rachel next to him, and the chairman of People in Action, Jeff Hunt.

Statement from Jeff Hunt, the Chairman of People in Action.
' It's difficult for me to realise what has been achieved from the seed of an idea in 1984/5. The then Mayor of Nuneaton and Bedworth, a great friend and colleague of mine, the late Councillor, Albert Walker, asked, 'What can we do for my charity year?'
After some debate, not a long discussion I hasten to add, I explained I would like to open a home for people with learning disabilities. It was instantly agreed by Albert, that the Mayor's Charity would be 'The Croft' in Nuneaton. Little did I think it would develop into the organisation it is today'. Signed, Jeff Hunt.
